Rueda de Casino Salsa Dance Instructional Videos
A remarkable form of salsa developed in Cuba in the 1950s is called rueda de casino. It is a partner based dance yet done as a group formed in a circle. There are hundreds of called moves, mostly in Spanish, with one of the dancers serving as the caller. We developed teaching techniques on the same modular plan with a number of elements that are combined to comprise this dance at all levels. I taught this form of dancing in high school for a decade or so. We had our own adult performance group that danced at various events.
