Partner Salsa Dance Instructional Videos
Once I began to teach salsa dancing I found that my decades of academic teaching experience helped me think about how my dance students could best learn. There is an influence that no doubt dates back to being a mathematics major in college and having began my adult life as a computer nerd in the corporate world. I wanted to see dancing as modular with basic elements that build on one another. I began to develop a theory of salsa dancing based on a dozen or so fundamental elements and how they gradually expand and are combined as the level of dancing advances and the moves get more complicated. Eventually we produced a series of instructional videos based on this technique.

Salsa Partner Moves of the Month Series
When we were actively teaching salsa classes we thought it would be fun to regularly share a move sequence that was fun. Our students, especially the men, constantly asked for “new moves” so they could impress their partners and enjoy the endless possibilities of salsa dancing. For a while we produced brief videos simply showing a move that we posted monthly on our website.
