Sam I really love your perspective here- it's kinda cool to hear about you being a college student! It sounds like a very intense learning experience...However, I also wanted to thank you for not being as an intimidating of a professor as Smith and for being so open with your students and valuing our work!

I like how make our non-physical beings (mind, value, and meaning) contigent on our physical beings (gesture, body, sensorimotor patterns, and bodily movement). I've been exploring this lately, I feel more aware of how much the physical act of speech affects our sense of self. Also I'm aware that writing, reading, and creating with my mind are just as physically taxing as creating with my body. Gestures need to be imparted with chi, prana, energy, what ever you want to call it; this past weekend I wasted all my chi by hiking at 12000 feet on an empty stomach, it took me two days to recover to the point where I could write. These people who go out and binge drink their chi away have none left for the physically demanding gestures required for maximum brain function. The gesture of sitting with a straight back, and open diaghram where the lungs hang free is paramount to resting the brain on the spine and allowing intelligent firing of all 72,000 nerves throughout the body.

Writing has most definetly become a creative endeavor for me, and so has speaking. I'm glad you recognize that creation is the act which grounds our mind, body, and value, I've seen this need for my mental health to create, and know I know why, because without it I have an existential crisis devoid of a grounded mind, body, or value.

Sam,
Your writing intrigues me. Perhaps I should visit your blog more often.
Have you ever thought of writing a children's book? You should.
Also, i think your smiles in your pictures should be bigger. (Unless they were taken on one of your "okay" days).
